2010 into 2011

In 2010 my goal was to find balance in growing my business and growing my personal life . I think that I got really close to doing that – it was really hard to make myself turn off the computer or say “no” to projects because I know I didn’t have the time, but looking back I’m so glad I did. I was able to enjoy my family, friends and be healthier – It was such a fun year for me. Highlight 1: we got a dog, an amazing rat terrier we named Toby – he is now the love of my life. Highlight 2: we bought some property on Lake Michigan! – a life long dream. Business wise it was a great year as well. Highlight 1: I was selected as a photographer for “The Knots – Best of Weddings 2010″. Highlight 2: I started using film again – oh so gorgeous…I have missed you. Highlight 3: I got to travel to Ireland & Nicaragua to photograph weddings – I always wanted a job where I travel internationally for my work and it is so fulfilling to capture amazing memories for couple in exotic locations.

If I have any goals for 2011 its so take more personal photography, continue to use more film, and definitely post more things on facebook and the blog. I know I was very much lacking in the eye candy this year – that was one little sacrifice so that I could find balance – somethings gotta give you know.

I also wanted to say thank you so much to all my clients for letting me capture the joy in their day and for trusting my vision! It is so important to know that my client’s respect and trust how I see their wedding day story unfolding. I also have to thanks the fabulous wedding planners that I got to work with this year – they do such an amazing job at making things picture perfect. So I thought I would share some of my favorite images weddings in 2010 – Many more to come in 2011…
